And they were victorious.
It's all over the news, how the G-Men upended the Pats as well. To those of you in NYC, does this avenge the Red Sox coming back from a 3-0 deficit in baseball to the Yanks in 2004? To me, I think it is a dagger in the hearts of Boston fans, but the Yanks have to avenge that particular defeat themselves.
Ironically, the Giants were underdogs throughout the playoffs much like the Patriots back in 2002, when Belichick made the comment "If we had a game next week, we'd be underdogs there too." I think the G-Men would be underdogs if there was another game to be played this Sunday. And Eli Manning would be criticized about his play at quarterback. Well... I think both Eli and Peyton have made their papa proud, both bringing him home an elusive superbowl trophy. I imagine Archie Manning was the proudest man in the U.S. that night.
